Is this content block?

For the first time since I started this challenge to post everyday in 2011, I don’t have a topic I want to write about.

I have a few ideas but I haven’t had the time to develop them as I’m in the middle of two writing projects – one with a fast approaching deadline.

I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise, then, that the ideas aren’t popping as fast or as furious as they usually do. And for some reason, I’m not feeling any of the suggested DailyPost topics.

So rather than break my perfect postaday2011 record, I’m writing and hoping to clear my head because all I can think of is my deadline.

I can’t wait to get back to writing about my travels.

  1. It’s a challenge to come up with something fresh and germane everyday especially if you don’t go with the DailyPost suggestions.
Funny thing is, as soon as I posted that, I had a few other ideas. Always happens!
Here’s what I recommend now that I’ve posted that and it’s so obvious – keep my notebook handy to make notes as they come.
Use my Blackberry to write drafts. I can do that while I’m on the bus or subway, at lunch, during a break, etc.
Don’t worry, Mozes, I know you’ll come up with something everyday!

  2. Hi Marcia
My problem’s time at the moment, really struggling with the daily post!

  3. I know what you mean, Tony. I struggle with that as well. Unfortunately, there are only so many hours in a day and I always underestimate how long a post will take. Sometimes I use my Blackberry to make notes or start writing when I have some free time and I’m not near my computer.

Also, I try to mix it up a bit so I don’t get bored or feel like I’m in a rut. I haven’t done Wordless Wednesday posts, but I love the idea of posting a photo that says something. No need to write anything. Since you’re now a music blog, maybe the lyrics to your favorite songs? Personally, I’d love to know some of the words to my favorite songs so I don’t mangle them. Or maybe backstories on your favorite artists. I’ve also done an interview with another blogger that I’ll post while I’m on vacation. The beauty of an interview is that it becomes a new blog post. I know it’s not time related but hope it helps?

  4. That’s a great idea, Marge. It helps to have focus or we’d be all over the place.
It also keeps the content fresh. As I said, if I find anything over the next few weeks, I’ll definitely share with you.
Thanks for sharing your Internet Goodies with us.

  5. I agree that I don’t want to post mindless topics for the sake of posting. So, I decided to focus on one thing for the month of April.

I’m writing about the Internet Goodies that I find and use and how the can benefit us in our daily lives.

Maybe next month I’ll share quotes, vacation spots, books that I’ve read, veggies that I plan to grow, eat or cook? Who knows? Thanks for checking in on me …
