The Taste of Jamaica, a display of local foods and culinary contests, was held over the weekend at the Convention Center near Montego Bay. Here are some photos of the event.
I’m still trying to sort out my internet connection, which is spotty at best. As a result, I haven’t been able to spend much time online. Please bear with me, I promise to get to your comments and catch up on all the posts that I’ve missed.
I grew up in the tropics, so I can appreciate a lot of the food in these photographs. I am especially intrigued by the beverages. Also, while I don’t like typical US fruits like berries, oranges, and apples … etc, I love the fruits from the topics and Jamaica looks like they have some good ones.
Yes, we have quite a variety of fruits here. It’s one of the things I really enjoy and the fact that many of them are right in my backyard!
HI!
I’ve heard so much about Jamaica. Its rich culture and sumptuous dishes and delicacies. The photos proved it all.
Thanks, Sarah. Hope you make it here one day.
