Looking at the name list of celebrities, we have to be thankful for The Apollo. I love Marvin’s search for answers and honesty in his music. I listen to him a lot when I’m painting. I have Aretha’s Christmas CD. What a Diva, she is. And Luther…ballads from a prince.
What I wanna know is who is that old woman in the front seat hanging all over the stage all the time? Is she getting paid?
Girl, Aretha gave a FREE concert last night at Coney Island. I didn’t even think of going. On a regular night, it’s a zoo much less when the Queen of Soul’s there.
I love all those guys – Luther (can sing to me anytime), Aretha, the Diva, Marvin (my heart).
You know, I don’t know — she probably does. Even is she isn’t, she’s well known now.
She sure is but I think I’d have to be compensated for putting myself out there like that. I mean, daaannnggg, she’s like, kinda out there. Must’ve be a real cutter back in the day.
Hmmm, maybe she is in other ways? I’m sure they can work something out behind the scenes.
I’m sure she was!
I love the Apollo and saw a few shows there over the years… I don’t know about seeing Aretha in Coney Island… too much traffic. But I love the lady. 🙂
I’m not sure how the show went, haven’t heard from any of my friends. But I’m sure it would have been swarming with people.
