We picked this bunch of bananas from the garden a few days ago and I watch each day as the green outer skin turned yellow.
In no time, each hand was gone – shared with neighbors and friends and eaten one by one.

Those bananas look delicious… I love watching them ripen and I do the same with plantains… Have you had any plantains since your return?
They were!!
Actually, I had some today but I didn’t enjoy them. I wanted the ripe ones but they made the semi-ripe ones but they weren’t fried as crispy as I was hoping. So those don’t count. I can’t wait to get some ripe ones — you know the ones, they’re almost sugary.
