A Jamaican Christmas – Reggae Carols

Christmas in Jamaica wouldn’t be the same without our spin on traditional carols. Here are two versions of The Christmas Song. The first by one of my favorite performers, JC Lodge, The Christmas Song, the second by Beres Hammond, The Christmas Song. JC Jamaicanized the lyrics a bit.

Hope these will help put you in the mood for a little Reggae Christmas. Happy Holidays!

  1. Never heard Jamaican Christmas music before. I really liked the first artist. Still feels nothing like Christmas or does one just grow out of that?

  2. Hmmm, I don’t know. I guess we’re not doing the usual things that made it special but I don’t know why.
Funny, as we still spend a lot on gifts and we still do a lot of eating and partying. Something to ponder.

  3. Wow! I’m like jamming to these beats. Perhaps its because they really take me home, as the modern music in Hawaii (where I grew up), is very similar. I love them – thanks for sharing.

  4. Id love to hear their versions but the videos are not on your post. I’ll check them out on YouTube later. 🙂
