I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen a carrot like this one. When I looked at it, I saw a woman dressed in a bathing suit lying on her side on the beach. She wore dark sun glasses and a broad floppy hat and had her legs crossed seductively as if waiting for that someone. Then I knew: it looked like one of those 1950s pinup girls, you know the one that GIs used to hang on their walls. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to take a photo. I wanted to have a clear and lasting memory of it and used all the others in the bag I had bought before carefully and gently scraping the skin off to use it.
This is my submission to this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge.
I used to grow carrots like that when I was a kid. It was caused by nematodes in the soil.
A pin-up girl sounds much more glamorous than a nematode.
Nematodes? Thanks, Narelle. I’ll look it up.
I prefer pin-up girl too, hahaha!
That’s one sexy carrot! 🙂 When I was a kid, we grew unusually shaped watermelons and tomatoes. Some of them were kind of scary. Don’t know what caused that.
And I thought this was a fluke. Another blogger had a name for it, I’ve forgotten it now.
Haven’t seen such a strange and unusual carrot before!SO weird!!
Haven’t seen such a strange carrot before!SO weird!!I’m wondering how it could taste! 🙂
Actually, there was no difference in taste. Apart from the unusual shape, everything about it was the same as a regular carrot.
That it is, Goody!
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I have to admit that it is both unusual and kinda creepy! 😆 LOL! 🙂
Yes, isn’t it a bit? Hahaha!!!
I have seen such a carrot before and when I looked at it looked like some kind of twisted fingers! Looked a little disgusting!
Hahaha, it is definitely different.
You know I have seen twin bananas, carrots, apples and pears! We see a lot of them here! I’d love to show you some pictures of them sometime!
I’d love to see your photos. We have twin bananas here. That twin carrot was the first one I’d seen. I’ve never seen apples and pears.
As soon as I see another twin fruit or vegetable, i’l show you a photograph of it! 🙂
Ok, definitely!
